Cornerstone Christian is off to a 10-2 start, making the field at the upcoming Division IV Garfield Heights district even deeper behind projected top seeds Richmond Heights and Villa Angela-St. Joseph.
The Patriots are led by offensively by senior center Byran Gee and sophomore point guard Byran Gee. Promising sophomore Isaiah McQueen and senior David Green have also been key contributors to the fast start for Coach Dan Selle.
"When the kids work hard, it is always a rewarding experience, and these guys started putting in work back in the summer, so I am very happy for them," Selle said. "They want to play defense, they want to play hard and they look forward to playing the teams on the schedule that are 3 or 4 or 5 times bigger than we are".
